The hotel staff, Louise, in particular was very helpful and friendly. They helped us figure the best route and transportation option to get to our desired locations, and Louise gave us the best recommendation to an awesome restaurant, "Catfish", in town. The hotel was very generous and attentive to our need of more towels due to a very The hotel was very generous and attentive to our need of more towels due to a very messy Indian Holi festival we attended.
And, they always greeted us with joy upon every entry and exit of the hotel. The hotel itself was also easy to navigate. The elevator is to the immediate right of the entrance and the first floor exit from the elevator leads right to the spacious breakfast room. The public restroom and fitness center were easily discovered and accessible by stairs or elevator conveniently on the first floor as well. The room itself, I feel, was a little pricey at least for my pocket and not as spacious as I had anticipated from the promotions of the website. However, the room was clean and served its purpose well.
The bathroom inside the hotel was superb. I was so glad to see how clean and organized it was, in addition to being fully stocked with various towels. My partner and I spend 6 days at Gowanus and we enjoyed ourselves with no complaints! First and foremost, the desk staff is very friendly and gives great customer service, which is the first thing I noticed. The BEST part about this hotel is the location.
It is right by the subway station which is extremely convenient. Being Texans, we are used to a certain amoun Regardless, the beds, pillows and linens are sooooo comfy!!! Finally, this hotel thrives on minimalism which is a breath of fresh air in the big city. Thanks again for making our stay that much better! We felt like true New Yorkers. It's been a pleasant trip, specially when you travel with an infant and toddler.
The hotel and staffs compliments our weekend trip in NY. Highly recommended and surely we come back. This is a nice hotel in a great location.
There are many bars and restaurants one block away on 5th avenue. Plus they have parking here. Although I think there is only about 12 spots. We were able to park during our stay. Breakfast is limited to bagels, croissants, and yogurts. They bring it to your room in the morning at the time you request the night before. There i There is no lobby here. The rooms are extremely nice and the beds are wonderful.
The bathroom is a little odd if you're traveling with someone other than your significant other. But the shower is great and you'll find yourself in there for longer than you should be.
All in all, a very nice room and I would definitely stay again and recommend. Good location, short walk to subway. Very simple room with not a lot of room, but as it was just a place to sleep overnight was suitable. Storage for luggage whilst out and about in New York before checking in and after checking out, very helpful. Staff were helpful and gave us a Kingsize bed rather than the booked Queen so we could share the bed with the infant no room for cot. We wanted to stay in Brooklyn for a change after 6 nights in Manhattan. This place was good value for money, with a continental breakfast included.
Coffee machine in the room. Nice decor. Clean and tidy. We were initially put into a room on the ground floor, this was right by the reception a We asked at reception for a room change which they did straight away. All staff were friendly and helpful. The location is right in the heart of Chinatown, so surrounded by numerous great Asian restaurants all very reasonably priced. If you want an area with bars this is not it. The subway station for the N line that runs to Manhattan and Queens was a 5 minute walk away making everywhere else very accessible though.
I would stay again if I returned. It has parking [actual drive way and parking lot] huge room decent bathroom etc Very friendly staff, definitely a highlight, old building, but clean and good use of resources. Very accommodating for a small child. Thank you. That was one of those experiences when you don't wanna leave.
That was the situation with this Hotel and Hostel. I didn't aspect to much but got a lot.
Very clean , great location next to subway ,and you making a one stop to Manhattan. The area name is Williamsburg , visit a Bedford avenue couple blocks from the hostel with a lot of beautiful restaurants and bars. This hotel have a great stuff and administration , very helpful with my needs and requests I had. Also they gave me an upgrade for my first stay.
Beautiful lounge area with full kitchen , game and computer room, small library , dining area was great. Tiffany lemme early check in and gimme my room in the morning after my long haul flight, but careless charged me again. So I paid more expensive hotel price for 1 night as my booking tho Agoda which is cheaper! I needa make a call to Agoda later when I back in town. We were on the last two days of a 10 day trip and this hotel was the best of the 4 we stayed at. The beds were very comfortable. The internet access was good. The breakfast was great provided protein options at a continental breakfast!
The shuttle daily to Time Square saved us a ton of money. The staff at the front desk were very, very helpfu The staff at the front desk were very, very helpful in directing us on the most efficient and economical use of transportation both public and taxi in the are. There were only two slight downfalls. The location - it was about 0. Also, no pool - much to the chagrin of my children. But, we knew that ahead of time and were able to prepare for that The stay was okay.
It was not the best hotel that I have stayed in nor it is the worst. I did have issue with the sheets being stained I would hope that they would be ran through a hot wash and sterile etc. The ac unit did not work that well, fortunately my husband works in the field so he did "fix it.
But, they were fairly friendly. Parking was an issue as well, but it is NYC and we did have a crew cab truck. I would consider staying at this hotel again decently priced for a place to sleep and shower. Hotel is so nice and location is so convenient. Staff are super friendly. Price is reasonable and this is the best hotel I have stayed so far. A minute from the chaos of the city with you want the rush. I would be happy to visit the hotel again. This hotel is very good. Location is excellent, only 5 min to walk to NY subway. Staff is very nice, polite, and helpful.
Our room was clean and not noisy. We liked a complimentary breakfast with many food options to choose. Overall, we had a great experience staying in this hotel! This was my first visit to New York. Being an international traveler, I brought with me one medium-sized trolley and one backpack as I will be on extended trip. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Jay St. Greeted by friendly staff, got an earl Greeted by friendly staff, got an early check-in, and the stay was hassle-free.

Getting by in New York couldn't get any easier than that. Close to Atlantic Ave. Excellent staff, accommodating and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. I had a problem with my sink as soon as i checked and after calling to tell them they sent someone in less than 5 min. Even though its not in the city, brooklyn is only about a 10 min taxi ride away.
Also the subway is right across the street. Another advantage was the rooms were bigger than the average hotel in manhattan a Another advantage was the rooms were bigger than the average hotel in manhattan and probably half the price and nto as loud and crazy. Great place wonderful service overall. Today's Top Deals.

First, Spice is known for thoughtful, delicious, locally-sourced, sustainable cuisine. Spice is also known for putting on fabulous events , such as the Plated Landscape Dinners and Dinner on the Train. Our first course was a salad of Spice Acres mixed greens, with sherry vinaigrette, Yellow House bleu cheese, and shaved Quarry Hill apples. General Manager Allison Pryce presented and carved the whole suckling pig tableside.
The meat was tender and flavorful. I especially enjoyed trying different cuts and tasting the difference between them. The meat was served with a mustard cream sauce with ginger pork jus. The meat could easily stand on its own, but the gravy was outstanding with it, too. When asked what else I should put it on, one of my dining companions suggested simply a spoon! We were presented with every part of the pig, including ears, eyeballs, and brains to spread on toast, naturally. For dessert, we were treated to caramel apple pie, served whole to the table. Currently, the Whole Beast Feast is available with a whole roasted suckling pig, but Chef Ben Bebenroth talked to us about plans to expand to fish and vegetarian feasts as well.
The Whole Beast Feast is available on the weekends with 6pm and pm seatings by reservation only for groups of guests. The barre3 January Challenge combines mindfulness and movement, which is one of the things that I love about it. Even before I was able to return to working out, I was able to participate in the challenge by using the Headspace app to meditate.
The barre3 January Challenge is all about tapping into the strength you already have within you. In returning to class at barre3 Legacy Village , I found that this messaging of mindfulness carries through to the movement piece of the challenge as well. Sure, the teachers encourage you to push yourself if you want to, but their main message is to listen to and honor your body where it is today. This has been especially helpful in returning from a hiatus. I know that the teachers understand and support me and are going to help me reach my full potential, without pushing me past my limits.
If I want to scale back on the weights, I can. If I want to go right into full plank, I can. For me, I got hooked on barre3 specifically because of the elements of yoga it blends in. This focus on mindfulness has only increased that vibe. This is not just a great workout, but also a supportive community that cares about you and how you feel. By helping you change not how you look, but how you relate to your body and access what is already inside of you.
The barre3 January Challenge goes through February 3. The barre3 January Challenge is habit-forming in the best way…not a fad, not something that will burn out, but a new way of honoring who you already are. In exchange, I received a complimentary challenge registration and barre3 swag. It was a pretty low-key weekend around here, thanks to the weather. With being snowed in comes the opportunity to do some home cooking. Think: kid-friendly, but with enough flavor to keep the grown-ups happy too.
Friday night, I made baked chicken tenders with this recipe. What I really liked about this recipe was the batter incorporated Dijon mustard and mayonnaise, which gave the chicken more flavor than a standard egg wash. We did get Jeffrey to eat a couple bites of his handiwork too. The king crab legs were from Lobster Brothers and were sweet, tender, and delicious! So, Matthew and I were really excited for the chance to practice with Jeffrey. The class incorporated yoga poses, breath work, and meditation, all in ways that were fun, engaging, and accessible for the kids.
The family yoga class is held once a month at the Mandel Jewish Community Center. The next class is on Sunday, February 17, with sessions at 10am and 11am. Click here to learn more and register.

Fast, flavorful, and fresh: the recently-opened Gourmet Guy Cafe in Rocky River is a great spot for lunch, casual dinner, or grab-and-go. Gourmet Guy Cafe offers a great selection of sandwiches, sides, smoothies, and build-your-own bowls. I enjoyed both the Morning Sunrise smoothie strawberries, banana, orange juice, yogurt and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Passion almond milk, banana, dark cocoa, honey. Then it was on to the sandwiches.
